Len Shalansky was born in New York City. He studied illustration,
fine art, and design at Cooper Union and Pratt Institute. The
recipient of many illustration awards, Len's drawings and paintings
hang in homes and businesses throughout the United States.
Len exhibits regularly at the Mystic Art Assocation and Lyme
Art Association, both on the Connecticut coast. Len has become
known for illustrations that reflect both the sensitivity and
humor of the human spirit.
After several years as head illustrator at Hasbro Toy Company,
Len opened an art studio and began his career as a freelance artist.
In his own business for over 25 years, Len has illustrated close
to 200 textbooks for ESL, English, and foreign language publishers.
Len and his wife reside in Warwick, Rhode Island, and are the
proud parents of two sons and a daughter-in-law, and the loving
grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters. |
